Case Converter processes all text entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is ever sent to a server, stored in a database, or seen by anyone. This isn't a promise it's how the tool is technically built.
The Short Version
We do not collect, transmit, store, or monetise any text you enter into Case Converter. All 12 case conversion operations run locally in JavaScript on your own device. There is no backend server receiving your input, no database logging your activity, and no third-party services processing your words.
The only information we may collect is standard, anonymous web analytics (page views, browser type, country-level location), the kind of data that never includes anything you type. Even that is minimal and used solely to understand how the tool is being used so we can improve it.
Data We Collect
Case Converter collects no personal data. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information. There is no account system, no sign-up, and no login.
The only data that may be passively collected during your visit includes:
- Your browser type and version (e.g. Chrome 120, Safari 17)
- Your operating system (e.g. Windows, macOS, iOS)
- Country-level location derived from your IP address (not stored)
- Pages you visit on the site and approximate time of visit
- Referring URL if you arrived from another website
None of this data is linked to you personally, and none of it includes the text you type into the converter.
Text Processing
Every conversion you perform whether it's converting a single word to UPPERCASE or pasting an entire document for snake_case formatting is handled entirely by JavaScript running inside your own browser tab.
When you click a format button, your text never leaves your device. There is no network request made to process your input. The conversion happens locally and instantly, which is also why the tool is so fast.
This means:
- Sensitive documents, source code, proprietary copy, and private notes can all be converted safely
- Your text disappears permanently the moment you close or refresh the tab
- We have no technical capability to read, retrieve, or share what you type
- No employee, contractor, or system at Case Converter can ever access your input
Cookies & Local Storage
Case Converter does not use cookies to track you, target you with advertising, or store your personal preferences across sessions. We do not set any first-party tracking cookies.
If analytics are enabled (see below), the analytics provider may set a minimal anonymous cookie to distinguish unique visitors. This cookie contains no personal information and is not linked to your text input in any way.
Your browser's local storage is not used to save your text between sessions. Once the tab is closed, your content is gone.
Third-Party Services
Case Converter does not integrate with advertising networks, data brokers, social media trackers, or any third-party services that process your personal data.
We use Google Fonts to load the typefaces used on this site. When your browser requests these font files, Google may log the request (including your IP address) in accordance with their own privacy policy. The font request does not include any text you type into Case Converter.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any data about your visit with third parties for commercial purposes.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-focused analytics tool to understand aggregate usage patterns for example, which case formats are used most frequently, or which browsers our users prefer. If analytics are in use, they are configured to:
- Collect no personally identifiable information
- Never capture or transmit the content of your text input
- Anonymise IP addresses before processing
- Respect Do Not Track browser signals
Analytics data is used exclusively to improve the tool and understand usage trends. It is never shared with advertisers or used for targeting.
Children's Privacy
Case Converter is a general-purpose text utility with no age restriction on use. Because we do not collect personal information of any kind, the tool poses no special privacy risk to children. We do not knowingly collect any data from users of any age.
If you are a parent or guardian with concerns about your child's use of online tools, please be aware that Case Converter processes all text locally and transmits nothing to external servers.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Because we collect no personal data, any changes to this policy will not retroactively affect information you have not provided to us. Our core commitment that your text stays on your device will never change as part of this product.
